Ginger

A coon hound, was found staggering and falling often on the side of the road in the Texas Hill Country. She had no microchip or tags. We rushed her to the vet where she got IV fluids and a work up that showed a tumor in her lung, heartworms and a spinal stenosis.

She was not a candidate for heartworm treatment due to the tumor, so we put her into our palliative care program. She recovered strength enough to enjoy walks and loved to hang out in the kitchen catching treats.

She was loved for the rest of her life.

Shorty & Romeo

Shorty came to Viva Perros with her 3 seven week old puppies. They were so fun we had a hard time saying goodbye. They all ended up in fantastic homes and we still get photos updates on them to this day.

Gabriella & Rodrigo

Gabriella and Rodrigo arrived at our shelter with demadex mange and their hair was falling out. They were only a year old.

With good help from our veterinarian and frequent medicated baths and treatments and great nutrition and love, they thrived and turned into two happy beautiful dogs.

They were bonded to each other and we were fortunate to find a great home that wanted took both of them so they could stay together in their forever home.
